Crumbs fall 
No one wants them 
They mix with dust and turn to powder.  
 
You have a beautiful smile, 
eyes gleaming like the arctic blue ocean 
Tradition says if you eat from god’s bread 
 
You save the crumbs 
Never throw them.
This time it’s you falling 
 
Bits of crumble you find hard to 
Assemble back.
The books you read 
 
You’re not one of them …
