Incisions

Incisions chase you. Incisions replace  

long lost, warm, motherly embraces that now evade you. 

A shower cold as ice always grips you. But it stops the cut.  

Momentarily it’s healing. He ails you or she fails you.  

It’s possible that momentarily she heals you. 

What you let close is up to you.  

When you let go, affectionate kisses in the wind
