Three Things - No Feathers

Three things in common
for the ugly duckling
And the little caterpillar

Babies wrapped up in weather, in feathers
Or a cocoon
Other times visible other times
Rare like the existence
Of a blue moon
They are slowly transforming
And before they bloom into
full-grown beauties
And they both have wings
So they can taste freedom
Every day as they fly.
