Yellow, like the raincoat lined with stripes
a golden leaf
holding on to the sunlight of spring and summer
those long days ended too soon
fallen leaves reflect their warmth
dried yellow
mustard deep
crumbles
feed the soil
and rain melts its pieces
until it's time to feel
the sun's kiss on your skin.
Golden glow
golden yellow.
