Excellent job. I'm familiar with some of these songs, but not all of them. Irish music is great, though, and I'll definitely be exploring these more... 😎
It had been A LONG DECEMBER, trying to sell Christmas trees not far from PALISADES PARK.
Just HANGINAROUND, TIME AND TIME AGAIN, hoping someone ROUND HERE would buy one, while we got more and more BLACK AND BLUE from lugging them around on our shoulders.
After FOUR DAYS, we were ready to give up. It was obvious we wouldn't be living the HIGH LIFE we'd dreamed of, or taking that planned HOLIDAY IN SPAIN anytime soon.
We'd been UP ALL NIGHT wrapping trees in plastic for nothing.
And after they'd stopped laughing, that's when ALL MY FRIENDS told me what the problem was.
They weren't Christmas trees at all. They were some sort of red maple.
Haha! The three F's. That's brilliant. This is actually my favourite band, so I was really hoping this one would turn out well. It's amazing how just looking at song titles, and picking out two or three together, can cause a story to begin to form. It's almost like using them as Prompts, I guess. I'm glad you enjoyed it... 😎
No pressure! You can also post on your site and on Notes as you are doing. And if you can't do one day, you can always get back to it later and do it. Or just skip if too much else going on. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm!
This is a fantastic piece even without the song titles, so clever and witty. Some fairy lights and tinsel and I bet Santa wouldn't even know the difference!
Haha! That is true. Usually, I can hardly see the tree underneath once I've got all the stuff on it. Thanks for reading and thanks for the wonderful comment... 😎
Listen, it was quiet for 30 minutes, just two of us or three and then boom suddenly there are so many comments. Don't panic! This morning I had another 40 comments! Likes.... Join whenever you can! You respond to what you want and know and feel like!
This is great! I love The Cure, saw them just the once at a festival back in the noughties. My friends all got pissed and fell asleep so I was all by my lonesome lost in a forest of drunks ;)
Oh no.... the fact that people need to get pissed to appreciate music, art or a concert! But there you go... maybe that in itself was worth the experience. You still remember!
I used to go to gigs all by myself for many years. Mainly because my friends weren't interested in the music I liked. A good thing, I guess - no one around to piss me off :)
Excellent work. I was very close to doing The Cure myself, but I had to do Counting Crows because they're my favourite band. I love 'Lullaby', it's one of my favourite songs to play on guitar. I may post my version of it on here one day... 😎
Thanks! I'm very interested in putting some music on here now they have the new audio Tools. I'm just figuring out the best way to do it. It will probably have to be a separate publication. But I'll let you all know where it is, when it appears! 😎
Yes, it's all about eperimenting on here. That is the key. I'm not actually sure if you're allowed to post cover songs. I'm still looking into it. I would assume it's okay, as long as you've significantly changed them. And as long as you're not charging money for them. I guess to be safe, though, those ones may have to just be a quick 30 second clip on Notes! Haha... 😎
Thank you Treasa, inspiring lines and I love how you created this flow. What an ending! Christine is a great performer and artist, you extracted pure gold in these lines.
Wow, what a piece! Thank you! We had Oh Candy and now Candy o... love the sounds of pattern and the rhyme-no-rhyme feel. Wonderful! Thank you for being here Jonathan and sharing your Cars playlist! "Let's go"
Celtic Woman
My Homeland
Is an Ancient Land
Which I love and honour
Though not the Garden of Eden
A paradise is Moorlough Shore
And County Down
And many an Enchanted Way
On a Long Journey Home
Faith’s Song
Tara’s Tune
And Danny Boy
Remind me of Fields of Gold
Over the rainbow
Will welcome my going home
As gently as Ae Fond Kiss
Excellent job. I'm familiar with some of these songs, but not all of them. Irish music is great, though, and I'll definitely be exploring these more... 😎
Wow, amazing! Thank you non and welcome to the challenge! Hope to see you bring some more tunes and poems in the next days!
One for the Irish. Is breá liom é!
Cheap Trick
Oh, Candy. Hello there.
So good to see you.
If you want my love, surrender.
Stop this game. Don’t be cruel.
I want you to want me.
Reach out, southern girl.
This California man
Is gonna raise hell.
Ain’t that a shame?
Come on, come on.
I must be dreamin’.
The dream police are near.
I hear voices.
Be my flame.
That is superb. Well done, Rod! 😎
Thanks, Chris!
Thank you Rod! Amazing poem!
Thanks, Pilgrim! This is a great idea!
COUNTING CROWS

But then we were both COLORBLIND... 😎
Wow! I love this! I cannot understand where you get these from! Great flow, fast and fun! The three F's according to Chris!

I love what you are coming up with. Each one of you posting creates little stories out of titles and give new life to amazing creations.
Thanks! It's been really great fun. I'm hoping I can get all 26 done. It would be amazing to have a full collection from A-Z. But we'll see... 😎

Yes, I was hoping for the Cure! You nailed it! Wow, Wow, Wow!
I could not help myself, Cure come naturally to me :)
Oh dear... yesterday was such a weird day! And when I opened my laptop at night to check on SPAWN there were already 140 comments. I panicked!!!!!
Listen, it was quiet for 30 minutes, just two of us or three and then boom suddenly there are so many comments. Don't panic! This morning I had another 40 comments! Likes.... Join whenever you can! You respond to what you want and know and feel like!
I will in my time. But you should know... when it comes to fight or flight... I usually fly away, little bird I am :)
Hey, no skipping class!
I'm too old for this!
This is great! I love The Cure, saw them just the once at a festival back in the noughties. My friends all got pissed and fell asleep so I was all by my lonesome lost in a forest of drunks ;)

Omg! Me too! Then they’d complain why I didn’t take them along…
Oh, what are friends for...
Excellent work. I was very close to doing The Cure myself, but I had to do Counting Crows because they're my favourite band. I love 'Lullaby', it's one of my favourite songs to play on guitar. I may post my version of it on here one day... 😎
I would love to see your version, Chris!

Start testing! Sea has a song a week. Some of it is linked to youtube links.

SPAWN question this is.
Thank you, Treasa, so do I - the place, the people and the music ...
Christine and the Queens
And the…
Tears can be
so soft,
angels crying
in my bed.
Body safe
and holy,
ugly, pretty.
I disappear
in your arms,
lick the light out.
Had to go with this clip from 03/05/2016.
Just amazing live!

Beautifully done... 😎
Treasa, song titles are your thing! Every poem so far is absolutely great!
Thanks Fotini, it eases the guilt if I don't write anything else that day.
Girls Just Want to Have Fun, no guilt, please :)
Writing without writing!
Thanks! I'm enjoying rummaging through Spotify and YouTube for this challenge. Bring on D-day :)
The Cars (a sonnet)
Candy-O,
let's go--
it's all I can do.
You're all I've got tonight,
moving in stereo
since I held you.
Good times roll,
lust for kicks,
don't cha stop--
I'm in touch with your world.
You can't hold on too long,
misfit kid.
Touch and go.
Don't tell me no.
Wow, what a piece! Thank you! We had Oh Candy and now Candy o... love the sounds of pattern and the rhyme-no-rhyme feel. Wonderful! Thank you for being here Jonathan and sharing your Cars playlist! "Let's go"
That was fun -- thanks for the prompt!
