FLEETWOOD MAC

RHIANNON had arrived in HOLLYWOOD one sunny MONDAY MORNING, her BROWN EYES wide with excitement.

She was determined to be a star, and was DREAMIN' THE DREAM. Acting was what she loved, but it turned out to be a LOVE THAT BURNS.

She tried her best to KEEP ON GOING, but the auditions just wouldn't COME, and the SANDS OF TIME were running out.

And that, was the harsh reality in THE CITY of Los Angeles.

The glitz and glamour were EVERYWHERE, but BEHIND THE MASK, the place was full of people who felt LIKE CRYING. Because once the MERRY GO ROUND was finished with you, there was NO PLACE TO GO, and you were just DUST in the wind.

SOONER OR LATER. With your DREAMS fading to black all around you... 😎

Also, if you enjoy Flash Fiction like this, I've just posted a new volume of it on my publication. I'd really appreciate an extra view or two! 😎

Thanks! They're a really interesting one in the music world, because they've gone through many different phases and line-ups. But at their peak, on their most famous albums, they basically had three amazing singers and songwriters who could have all easily been fronting their own bands, and yet they were all in the same one! And it created absolute magic... 😎

Foo Fighters

This is a call

for all the cows.

Ain’t it the life,

walking after you.

Times like these

all my life

lonely as you —

come back.

no way back,

I should have known

But here we are

Fabulous Thunderbirds

I'm 'Walkin To My Baby' with my 'Runnin Shoes' on.

'She's Tuff' and I'm 'Tuff Enuff'.

'I Believe I'm In Love', 'Look At That, Look At That'.

She 'Got Love If You Want It' so 'Knock Yourself Out'.

She's my 'Full Time Lover' so 'Don't Bother Trying To Steal Her Love'.

So 'How Do You Spell Love?'

That's 'Powerfull Stuff'

when I ask her to 'Scratch My Back'.

You better 'Stand Back' 'cuz I might give it another 'Twist Of The Knife'.

She's gonna 'Rock This Place' while you 'Rock With Me' and you may find yourself in 'Emergency'.

Time to 'Wrap It Up' so 'Why Get Up'?

Cool! Try and skip the in between words and stick to the song title only! See how you go! Lol! Then we have Chris but he has turned a twist to the challenge and writes flash fiction, puts the title in each sentence. Don't ask me why, must be even tougher.

Song of song titles

From “Fleet Foxes” by Fleet Foxes

.

Sun it rises, flooding the low hills

rioting with the white winter hymnal

of birds setting their songs free

from nights’s captivity. They cling

to the ragged wood of old trees above

quiet houses, where babies are starting to wake.

.

He doesn’t know why he roused with a start.

Maybe he heard them stirring, the little ones—

toddler bed and crib nested together—

starting to chirp like the belting birds.

.

Your protector is the dark, he says

bending over the baby’s crib. Morning is when

it begins again, this begetter’s dance

to keep you safe, to keep you whole.

.

Outside the still dark windows

meadowlarks lead their daring lives

sung out for now and swooping down

to feast on the dew-ridden ground.

Although the sun

Is shining,

.

This is the rock.

.

II.

Songbird

Don’t stop—

.

Over and over,

.

When the sun

Goes down:

.

Save me.

One sunny day

.

Sooner

Or later

.

Stand on the rock—
