It's back again! This seems like a fun idea. Songs that relate to places and street names, in your hometown, or I guess it could be a town you love to visit and spend time in. I'll have a think. Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with, too... 😎
I'm from Cleveland originally. When you think of Cleveland, you think Rock-n-Roll HOF. When I think of music in Cleveland, I think of The Michaël Stanley Band. All song titles are in caps.

Cleveland is MY TOWN. Deep IN THE HEARTLAND, we love a MIDWEST MIDNIGHT.
Mornings come fast, and we say, "LET'S GET THE SHOW ON THE ROAD." We're WORKING AGAIN.
CAROLYN, my LOVER, I'LL NEVER NEED ANYONE MORE than I need you tonight.
Remember, HE CAN'T LOVE YOU like I love you. I'm FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN.
Lake Erie borders with Michigan too and connected to Niagara falls right? Hall of fame... yes, I know that George Michael was inducted last year. So our first stop today is Cleveland! Thank you for your contribution!
Beautiful. I feel there's a little conflict and contradiction here, a love and hate relationship to this place and you've just taken us on a road trip proper! Thank you Gordon! Great idea to include artists in brackets like that.
Wonderful! More and more as I read this I find the whole world in our song title poem. Never been to Las Vegas but don’t you find miniatures or mini versions of other cities there? Just like your poem. Entertainment, sin, loss and lights jam packed. So cool to see that Electric Avenue and Hot Stuff works for Las Vegas and London too.
Oh man! Chicago! We used to warm up to their songs in high school choir and I love them so much. I forgot about "Hard Habit to Break" until I read your poem--so good.
The Bear soundtrack is set to replay on the bus commute to work. Season 3 is out, can't wait to get stuck in. This poem is a collage of song titles from it.
Thanks so much for your heartfelt comment and restack. I look forward to our first Fridays, what a fun way to start the weekend. Guess I should get up now.
Beautiful! My husband and I are in Season 3 now and I don't know if I've ever watched a more exquisite show. We didn't start season 1 until recently but we're already huge fans 💛.
Love open air cinemas, hate the chit chatting and mosquitos which stop enjoyment of the movie! Brilliant song title poem. I can see her brush her hair in the tiny office.
Perfect snippet of her day, the little things between the summers and rains. I'm not a lover of heat so I'd probably just puddle as soon as I got off the plane in Athens.
Hooray! Such a cool challenge. I feel like I could have collected song titles for really long time and not be done, but I wanted to get to the fun part so I cut myself off at a certain point :). I'm originally from a little town in Northern California, where fields of mustard flowers connect Sting's song title to my poem.

I cannot find the poem I did on this so may have to do a new one. You can definitely do one about a town you love, or like to visit as an alternative.
This could turn into a world tour, for sure! Haha... 😎
My tribute to London through song titles I connect to this big city.

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner.
Some great ones there. Nice to see 'Werewolves of London' get a mention again! 😎
We’re both on the same path today. Yes, it had to be mentioned!
Haha! And I've stuck to the rules, for once... 😎
I think this is the third time! Impressed!
I like the repetition of "Has it come to this?"; it feels like the poet is talking to themselves as they walk through London.
It's a great line! Thank you!

Amazing and thank you! Cleveland sounds like it's in Midwest. I cannot help it and you know what I will say... I can see those titles stand alone.

I think it works. Whats the HOF?
Thank you! I would agree, Pilgrim!
HOF is the Hall of Fame. Cleveland is home to the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
The one and only Rock n Roll Hall of Fame? I thought it was somewhere in LA. No idea why I thought that.
Yes, the one and only. It’s downtown by lake Erie. We walk by when we go to Browns games. I’ve been a couple times.
Lake Erie borders with Michigan too and connected to Niagara falls right? Hall of fame... yes, I know that George Michael was inducted last year. So our first stop today is Cleveland! Thank you for your contribution!

Fantastic. Some iconic artists there, for sure. Great to see Jackson Browne and Bob Seger get a mention! 😎
Free Falling, I gotta set that to replay today. Great poem, I feel like I'm on a roadtrip with you.
Definitely a journey in this poem!

I LOVE LONDON... 😎
Hang on… where’s the rebel rebel? This is great! You turned a few songs into a pick up line convo/monologue. Very clever, very good!
Haha! I did notice you mentioned the Chelsea Girl, too. She's definitely a rebel rebel, by the looks of it... 😎
Yup! Impossible not to mention her!
Sounds like you practiced that a time or two 😛
Hahahahahaha! Ouch! I'm sure only picked up the idea from the movies right?
Life is real and raw just like the movies.
Or three! Haha... 😎
Hot stuff indeed CJ
Haha! Glad you enjoyed it... 😎

Journey back to Chicago

After All These Years
makes me think of Chicago.

Send Her My Love,
Faithfully.
I'll Be All Right Without You,

Lights

Beautiful! I love the lyrics in parentheses.
And speaking of the 80s and Chicago (the band)...
You're the Inspiration
Saturday in the Park
Stay the Night
Colour My World
Love Me Tomorrow
I Don't Want to Live Without Your Love
Hard Habit to Break
Hard to Say I'm Sorry
Will You Still Love Me
What Kind of Man Would I Be
Along Came a Woman
If She Would've Been Faithful
Look Away
That’s a short story, Kelly! Brava!
That's a great interpretation of the Prompt. Nicely done... 😎
Oh man! Chicago! We used to warm up to their songs in high school choir and I love them so much. I forgot about "Hard Habit to Break" until I read your poem--so good.
The three last lines..... heartbreak all over. Great piece Kelly! Thank you for being here.

Oh my... "I think I need a new heart" has me floored. Such a tender and fragile piece, absolutely gorgeous. Thank you Treasa!
Thanks so much for your heartfelt comment and restack. I look forward to our first Fridays, what a fun way to start the weekend. Guess I should get up now.
Can't let go, I just keep reading this. Beautiful, Treasa!
Absolutely beautiful! And 'Have You Seen Me Lately?' is a Counting Crows song, of course. Yay! 😎
Beautiful! My husband and I are in Season 3 now and I don't know if I've ever watched a more exquisite show. We didn't start season 1 until recently but we're already huge fans 💛.
I want to watch it all over again from the start. Although, the stress!
Yes, the stress!!! I sweat through the episodes 🤪
the Christmas episode in season 2!
I have a love/hate relationship with Athens, especially during summer, so here's my little poem. All titles are by Loukianos Kilaidonis.

summers and rains
and you brush your hair

*We just call them summer cinemas and although the song doesn’t refer to Athens specifically it is closely related to this city.

Love open air cinemas, hate the chit chatting and mosquitos which stop enjoyment of the movie! Brilliant song title poem. I can see her brush her hair in the tiny office.
I can deal with the mosquitos but the chit-chat ... no spray for that!
Perfect snippet of her day, the little things between the summers and rains. I'm not a lover of heat so I'd probably just puddle as soon as I got off the plane in Athens.
Twenty five summers solely in Athens, Treasa. I had to cut my hair short :)
Lovely!!
Lovely work, as always! 😎
Thanks Chris!!!
*wolf whistle* gorgeous poem, Fotini!
Thanks :)
I actually sang along to a lot of this :) great poem and would make a super Spotify playlist.
Thank you, Treasa! 😊

Thank you, Chris! I had to choose my "Phantom" song carefully because it was so formative for me; I could have chosen so many.
A palpable longing your poem, Margaret. 🖤
